Voluntary Water Conservation in effect
7/24/2023
Due to high temperatures and drought conditions, Mayor Elliot is declaring a Stage 2, Water Warning effective Monday July 24th. He is requesting Caney Water users to make voluntary water conservation measures to limit or eliminate all nonessential water uses including outdoor watering, filling swimming pools, and washing motor vehicles. If High temperatures and drought conditions persist, stronger measures will be required.

Cody McLarty was one the Guest Speakers at the Council Meeting Last night. He gave a brief overview of the EPA Remediation status. If any citizen has questions about the process, he is available for comment!

Mayor Elliott has declared a Voluntary Water Conservation effective Thursday, July 20th 2023. He ir requested water consumers to employ voluntary water conservation measures to limit or elminated nonessential water uses including outdoor watering, filling swimming pools and washing motor vehicles.

by the City of Caney, Kansas until 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Caney City Hall, 100 W. 4th Street, Caney, KS 67333.
The bids will be opened and reviewed publicly by representatives of the Owner. Bidders will be advised of the outcome of the
bidding process after all bids are fully evaluated by the Owner.

Trash Update

We have received several reports of missed trash over the past several weeks. We have spoken with the Trash Company and they are doing their best to go back through to pick up missed trash as quickly as possible, with that being said Please set your trash out on Sunday Night, because the Trash company picks up early on Monday to avoid being missed.
